OFFICIAL General Contest Guidelines

These rules may be picked up at Advanced Media Partners, 2006 W. Altorfer Drive, Peoria IL, 61615, during regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM.

All prizes must be picked up in person at 2006 W. Altorfer Drive, Peoria, IL 61615. The person awarded the prize must claim prize within thirty (30) days of being declared winner or prize shall be forfeited. Any winner under sixteen (16) years of age must have parent or guardian claim prize on their behalf. All winners must provide photo identification, current mailing address, and social security number for each prize claimed. Winner is solely responsible for any and all applicable local, state, and federal taxes.

 

WPIA’s “Ed In England” Promotion, running 4/3/17 – 4/14/17
Official Contest Rules
These rules apply to WPIA’s “Ed in England” promotion. These rules may be picked up at Advanced Media Partners, 2006 W. Altorfer Drive, Peoria, IL during regular business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
Eligibility and Limitations
If an individual has been awarded a prize by WZPN-FM, WPIA-FM, WWCT-FM, OR WHPI-FM valued at over $600 within the past 30 days, that individual and all members of the individual’s household are ineligible from being awarded the grand prize.
This contest is open only to legal Illinois residents of Peoria, Tazewell or Woodford counties who are at least 18-years of age at the time of entry as determined by Advanced Media Partners.
A participant may win multiple prizes in this contest.
To qualify, participant must listen to WPIA for a unique “winning word of the day”, which will be given out at approximately 5:20am, 6:20am, 7:20am and 8:20am every weekday morning. At approximately 4:55pm each weekday, listeners will be asked to text the “winning word of the day” to 309-692-5477. Standard data and message charges may apply.
Random qualifiers each day will be notified of winning one (1) digital download code, redeemable for Ed Sheeran’s latest album as provided by Atlantic Records and valued at $15. There is no cash substitute for the prize.
During the 5pm hour of Friday, April 7 and Friday, April 14, one (1) random qualifier will be drawn to win two (2) tickets to see Ed Sheeran at the All State Arena in Chicago on September 15 or 16, 2017 as provided by Live Nation (value of $200). There is no cash substitute for the prize.
On Friday, April 14 at approximately 5pm one (1) random qualifier will be drawn to receive two (2) tickets to see Ed Sheeran at the O2 Arena in London, England on either May 1, 2 or 3, 2017, airfare for two (2) from ORD to LHR and two (2) nights hotel. Travel dates TBD. (value of $3,000) There is no cash substitute for the grand prize.
Prizes are non-transferable.

Advanced Media Partners reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to or on behalf of any minor. Employees of Advanced Media Partners, this contest’s participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other radio or television stations, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household. Prize awarded is not transferable unless otherwise stated. Prizes are awarded “as is”.  Prize must be claimed within thirty (30) days or it shall be forfeited. All winners must have photo identification, current mailing address, and social security number to receive prize. Winner is solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes (local, state and federal) unless otherwise stated.

Publicity
All participants and winner(s) grant  Advanced Media Partners exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use.
Release
All participants and winner(s) waive any and all claims of liability against Advanced Media Partners, its employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss, which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the contest, or from the use of any prize.

Taxes
Any valuation of the prize(s) stated above is based on available information provided to Advanced Media Partners, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Each winner must provide Advanced Media Partners with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize valued at $600 or more will be awarded. If the winner’s valid social security number or tax ID number is not provided, the prize will be forfeited. No exceptions. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from a Station will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.

Telephone and Delivery Disclaimer
Participants are restricted to the use of ordinary telephone equipment.  Participants that enable the “Caller ID” block function will not be allowed to participate unless they enter their correct area code and telephone number.  Advanced Media Partners disclaims all liability for the inability of a participant to complete or continue a telephone call due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, acts beyond Advanced Media Partners’ control, or otherwise.  Advanced Media Partners disclaims all liability for any delays, mis-delivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method.

Decisions
Advanced Media Partners reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the contest, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. Further Advanced Media Partners will resolve any disputes or ambiguities concerning the rules and Advanced Media Partners’ decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. Advanced Media Partners reserves the right to modify or replace these rules at any time without notice. Verification that these rules are currently in force is the sole responsibility of the listener. Verification may be accomplished by telephoning the office at (309) 691-0101.

Miscellaneous
Each winner must submit proof of eligibility and sign an Advanced Media Partners release form to claim the prize. No purchase necessary to participate or win. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. Advanced Media Partners may substitute prizes of equivalent value, amend the rules or discontinue the contest at any time as announced on the station. Advanced Media Partners disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of this contest. Written copies of these rules are available during normal business hours at the business offices of the station and by mail from the station upon written request with a stamped, self-addressed return envelope. Entries must be handwritten, unless another form of entry is specifically authorized for the contest. No photocopying or mechanical reproduction of entry forms is permitted unless specifically authorized for the contest.

Compliance with Law
The conduct of this contest is governed by local and state law, which takes precedence over any rule to the contrary herein.  Station shall follow the applicable local and state laws for conducting contests, including notice to the state attorney general or consumer affairs office, posting of a prize bond, furnishing lists of winners, running specific on-air disclaimers, providing specific written information about the contest, etc. as required by local and state law.

 

 

 

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

Eligibility and Limitations
Any individual awarded a prize within the past thirty (30) days on any Advanced Media Partners radio station (96.5 ESPN Radio, 98.5 KISSFM, 99.9 WWCT, or 101.1 JACK FM), becomes ineligible, as do all members of the individual’s household, to claim additional prizes until at least the thirty-first (31st) day after winning the prize. This limitation applies regardless of whether the prize was actually claimed by the winner. Participants and winner(s) must reside within the Peoria metro area as defined by Arbitron and as determined by Advanced Media Partners.

In contests or promotions where participants “qualify” for a certain “grand prize”, participants and/or residents of their household or immediate family may qualify one time only. Advanced Media Partners reserves the right to refuse to award any prize to, or on behalf of, a minor. For contests that determine a winner by selecting a certain number person to perform a requested action online, participants agree the computer or mobile device being used by Advanced Media Partners to monitor the contest will provide official results and that these may vary from participant’s computer or mobile device. With all online contests, notification of winner will be made electronically and it is the sole responsibility of the contest participant to monitor the registered email, Twitter.com, or Facebook.com address for said notification. Advanced Media Partners reserves the right to disqualify any individual or individuals for any acts deemed to gain an unfair advantage including, but not limited to, “scrolling”, “flooding”, or “spamming.” Unless specifically directed as part of the contesting methodology, multiple entries will not impact a participant’s chances as being selected a winner.

Release
By participating, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against Advanced Media Partners, its employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss, which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the contest, or from the use of any prize.

98.5 HI/LO KISS Cash Contest Rules

These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by WPIA-FM. Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the WPIA-FM general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the general contest rules are available at 2006 West Altorfer Drive, Peoria, IL 61615, during regular business hours and on the contest page of the website www.KISSpeoria.com. To the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this contest.

Entry/Winning
1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.

2. Participants can enter the contest by listening to WPIA weekdays (Monday – Friday) (excluding holidays) between March 31, 2014 and May 2, 2014 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day for the on-air personality to solicit contestants. The 9th caller at 309-692-5477 will be given an opportunity to guess the cash amount of the jackpot. The 9th caller will have 30 seconds and only one opportunity to guess the exact amount (dollars and cents) of the jackpot. The on-air personality then will indicate whether the guess is too high, too low or the correct amount in the cash jackpot. Upon confirmation of eligibility, a prize will be awarded to the contestant in the amount (dollars and cents) of the jackpot should the guess and the jackpot amount match. Another game will then begin and the contest will continue until the sooner of: (i) the maximum amount of $5000 in the aggregate has been awarded in this contest; (ii) May 2, 2014.

Contesting will run at minimum four times per day. WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts.

3. The cash amount of each Jackpot will be pre-determined by WPIA-FM prior to accepting any guesses.

Prize(s)
4. The odds of an entrant selecting the correct jackpot amount are 1 in 100,000, or better if prior contestants have already guessed on a particular jackpot amount.

5. Cash prizes will be paid by company check and will be available upon verification of eligibility and completion of all required station documents.
