Scooter

Scooter’s true origins are unknown, yet several rumors persist. The most common is his mother gave birth to him on May 5th in Illinois. His real passion in life was his first job – newspaper delivery…nothing like making an honest quarter a week, ya know? Scooter’s favorite beverage is milk and someday he WILL drink an entire gallon in an hour without throwing up, but only if it’s a competition with his man-crush Adam Richman from TV’s Man vs. Food. He has met famous people working in radio like Mariah Carey, Eminem, and Barack Obama, but never Adam Richman… hopefully that’ll change someday soon. You’ll tell Scooter “I thought you’d be a lot shorter and fatter” when you meet him in person. He’ll respond “thanks for listening to me on 98-5 KISS FM!”

Jay R

Hey, it’s Jay R! I’m from the dirty south and I am so not use to this weather. I was born in Richmond, Virginia but I’m coming from Raleigh, North Carolina. I love to hang out and have fun! I’m a gamer and movie freak.

If you ever want to chat email me at TheActinOutShow@gmail.com or leave a voicemail 385.202.JayR (5297). Don’t be surprised if you end up on air. :-D

Aaron

Aaron Tyler was the typical small-town kid with a big mouth, growing up. Sometimes, it – and his opinions – got him in trouble… sometimes, he was able to fend off the masses long enough to make them laugh. Eventually, he had an opportunity to be on the radio as a guest DJ on a Top 40 station’s nighttime countdown and must not have sounded all that terrible, as he was given a chance to be a summer intern for the night DJ. Knowing all too well that his English teacher just loved to assign the “What I did with my summer vacation” essays on the first day back in the Fall, Aaron took the gig. From there, he’s seen places like Champaign-Urbana, Mobile AL, Youngstown OH, Pittsburgh, Carbondale, Tulsa, St. Louis, Dothan AL, Bloomington-Normal, and now Peoria.

Newly engaged, Aaron is a typical guy in that he loves shows like Sportscenter, Family Guy, NCIS, Burn Notice, Criminal Minds, Futurama, and ESPN Baseball Tonight. In his spare time, he plays Texas Hold ‘Em and golf, both sometimes even semi-well! He is a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan and calls Game 7 of the 2011 World Series one of the best nights of his life.

Taylor

Hey!  I’m Taylor and I come from the very distant land of…Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  No I have never tipped a cow, but did have to milk one in school.  Radio has taken me all around the country but I love being here in Peoria!  I am a walking contradiction!  I hate fish but love to go fishing, can’t stand the taste of yogurt but eat one a day to keep me healthy, and I can’t stand the sound of people making out…but I’m totally game for a good high school session.  I’m a sports freak (yes, if you do the math correctly I am a Brewers and Packers fan), love to wear high heels, and I’m addicted to music, hence why I sit in the crazy small closet like studio all day!  I think they may add padding to the walls soon and I’m excited about that!   I’m a pretty open book so if there is anything you really want to know about me, just ask!  I look forward to seeing you out and about.  I’m always up for a fun night out, which usually consists of me streaking or jumping in the river…you’ve been warned!!

The Baka Boyz

The Baka BoyzThe Baka Boyz first made their mark in Los Angeles radio in 1992 at Power 106 with their creation of Friday Nite Flavas. Since that time they have continued to influentially impact the hip hop music industry. Their raw talent and passion for originality gave birth not only to live mixing in Los Angeles, but to the inception of The World Famous Roll Call. After dominating the ratings in afternoons and the coveted morning show slot at Power for seven years, the duo headed north to wake up listeners every morning at KMEL San Francisco. Eric & Nick’s sharp eye for talent has opened the doors for many to pass through and their dedication to producing a quality show has allowed them to continue to break down barriers in radio. From producing hip hop classics like “Pistol Grip Pump” to hosting the nationally syndicated “Hip Hop Master Mix”, which broadcasts on over fifty stations from coast to coast, The Baka Boyz have established themselves as hip hop radio gurus. Because they are the architects of the new sound of broadcasting, many have attempted to duplicate the blueprint they have created.
